Build programmes from your own exercise library, with your videos or YouTube links, and assign them to each patient.

Patients log their sessions in the app. You see what's been done each week, next to their programme.

Private notes on a patient's calendar, alongside their exercises, plus notes against each appointment.
Forms and check-ins
Intake questionnaires and regular check-ins. Patients are asked for their explicit consent to health information being used.
Appointments
Booking links, email reminders, and in-person, phone or video appointments.

Card payments into your own Stripe account. AbanteOS takes no cut of what patients pay you.

Patients see your logo and colours, not ours.

Keeping clinical records
Your professional body expects you to keep records for years after treatment (the CSP's guidance is usually 8 years for adults, longer for children). AbanteOS keeps programmes, notes and check-ins while your account is open and doesn't delete them on a timer (only booking-form answers are cleared, 2 years after the appointment). But a patient can delete their own AbanteOS account, and that removes their records from your account too. Until we add a setting that keeps clinical records for the period you need, keep your formal clinical notes in your clinic system as well.
Security and data protection
Patient health information is special category data under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. Here's how we look after it, for you and your insurer.
- Your data, your patients
- You're the data controller and we're your processor. Our Data Processing Agreement (UK GDPR Article 28) is part of our terms, with a section for health practitioners.
- Hosted in the EU
- The database is in the EU (Paris) with Supabase. The app runs on Cloudflare's network, and our backups are kept in Cloudflare's EU storage.
- Encrypted
- All connections are encrypted (HTTPS). Supabase encrypts stored data, including its backups, with AES-256. Our own daily backups are encrypted again with a key only the company director holds.
- Each business is walled off
- Database rules stop anyone outside your business reading your records. Automated isolation tests run before changes go live, and a full cross-business check in October 2026 found no leaks between businesses.
- Two-step sign-in
- Practitioners and coaches whose business has patients must turn on two-step sign-in with an authenticator app.
- If something goes wrong
- We have a written breach plan with a named deputy. We'll tell you without undue delay, and aim to within 48 hours, so you can meet your 72-hour duty to the ICO.
- Registered with the ICO
- Abante Performance & Fitness Ltd is registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (registration ZC280391).
- Who else handles data
- Every service we use, what for and where, is listed in our privacy policy.
We don't hold certifications such as Cyber Essentials or ISO 27001 yet, and we don't offer HIPAA terms, so practitioner mode is for the UK and EU only. Read the Data Processing Agreement and our list of sub-processors. Need more for your insurer? Email info@abanteperformance.com.
